Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by Wag and Wander (“the Business”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to the client (“the Client”, “you”, “your”).By booking or using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

1. Services
1.1 Wag and Wander provides professional dog walking and pet care services including dog walking, home visits and pet sitting.
1.2 Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1.3 Walk durations refer to walking time only and do not include travel time unless expressly agreed.
1.4 Wag and Wander reserves the right to decline or refuse a booking where it is reasonably necessary to do so.

2. Bookings and Payment
2.1 Bookings must be made via our booking system, email or another agreed method.
2.2 Where payment is not received, we reserve the right to suspend or withdraw services.
2.3 Prices may be amended upon providing at least 14 days’ written notice.

3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 You may cancel a booking by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.
3.2 We understand that plans change. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled walk or home visit. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice and not on the day will be charged 50% of the service fee. Same day cancellations will be charged 100% of the service fee.
3.3 If access to the property is not provided at the agreed time, the full fee may be charged.
3.4 We reserve the right to cancel services where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as staff sickness, injury or family emergencies.

4. Access to Property
4.1 You authorise Wag and Wander to enter your property for the purpose of providing services at the scheduled time if it is required.
4.2 You are responsible for ensuring safe and secure access.
4.3 Keys will be stored securely, locked away and without identifying address information.
4.4 We are not responsible for loss or damage arising from faulty locks, security systems or property defects.

5. Client Responsibilities
5.1 You confirm that your dog is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
5.2 You agree to disclose all relevant information regarding your dog’s health, temperament, behavioural history and any previous incidents.
5.3 You confirm that your dog is not subject to any legal restrictions and is not dangerously out of control within the meaning of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
5.4 You remain the legal owner of your dog at all times. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership or primary legal responsibility for your dog.

6. Off-Lead Exercise
6.1 Dogs will only be walked off-lead with your prior written consent.
6.2 You acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with off-lead exercise.
6.3 We reserve the right to keep any dog on-lead where reasonably necessary for safety.

7. Veterinary Treatment and Emergencies
7.1 In the event of illness or injury, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you.
7.2 If you cannot be contacted, you authorise us to seek veterinary treatment at your registered or nearest available veterinary practice.
7.3 While every reasonable care and precaution is taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all dogs in Wag and Wanders care, dogs are walked at the owner’s risk. Outdoor exercise carries inherent risks, including but not limited to minor cuts, scratches, ticks, slips, trips, and interactions with other dogs or environmental hazards. Where Wag and Wander is found to be legally liable for injury, loss or damage, the matter will be referred to the insurer and handled in accordance with the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. Wag and Wander does not admit liability prior to assessment by the insurer.
7.4 We are not responsible for the outcome of veterinary treatment provided by third parties.

8. Liability
8.1 We hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance and Care, Custody and Control Insurance.
8.2 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for:
(a) death or personal injury caused by negligence;
(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
(c) any matter which cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
8.3 Subject to clause 8.2, our liability for loss or damage shall be limited to the level of cover provided under our applicable insurance policy in force at the time of the incident.
8.4 We shall not be liable for:(a) loss, injury or death of a dog unless directly caused by our negligence;(b) damage to property caused by your dog;(c) escape of a dog where reasonable care has been taken;(d) illness, injury or behavioural issues arising from pre-existing conditions or undisclosed information;(e) indirect or consequential losses.
8.5 You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses or expenses arising from your dog’s behaviour, except where caused by our negligence.
9. Weather and Welfare
9.1 Services may be shortened, adapted or cancelled where weather conditions pose a risk to safety or welfare.
9.2 Decisions regarding weather adjustments shall be made reasonably and in the interests of animal welfare.
9.3 In the case of cancellation due to severe weather conditions or government restrictions, you will not be required to make payment for the cancelled service.

10. Equipment
10.1 You must provide suitable, properly fitted collars, harnesses and leads.
10.2 Dogs must wear a collar and ID tag in accordance with the Control of Dogs Order 1992.
10.3 We reserve the right to refuse services where equipment is unsafe.

11. Data Protection
11.1 We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
11.2 Personal data will be stored securely and used only for the purpose of providing services.
11.3 Data will not be shared with third parties except where necessary to provide services or where required by law.

12. Termination
12.1 We may terminate services with immediate effect where:
(a) payment is not received;
(b) your dog presents a safety risk;
(c) you breach these terms.
12.2 You may terminate services in accordance with the cancellation provisions above.

13. Governing Law
13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
13.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
